Postcard Friendship Friday

A few weeks ago I stumbled on http://thebestheartsarecrunchy.blogspot.com/ where I really didn't understand what was being done on Fridays when people would do posts of old postcards. I did finally get the gist of it and posted a couple of cards. Beth, who hosts the exchange from her blog, is a really neat gal. So today I am posting a postcard that shows my father at age 19 - he is seated in the wicker chair with his friend, Joe. I have another really nice card about a year later that I will post next week. The fellows always seem to have a cigar either in their hand or in their mouth.

Here is the back and it's dated in 1912 - almost 98 years ago. I also have a lot of old pictures from my husband's family that are printed as postcards also. That must have been very common way back then. Will post some of them, also. Hope you enjoy this. I am glad I have it.

  1. What did your dad and his friend do? It looks to me like they are wearing muck boots...

Happy PFF! You're pretty neat yourself!

  5. What a great card to have, they look as though they have just wandered in from the outdoors.
